The Lord prepared all the good things through His beloved son, Jesus and blessed us before we were even born. Jesus accomplished God’s will when He died on the cross. As a result, we all have been healed and made whole (Isaiah 53:5). We all have been saved (John 3:16). We all have been blessed (Ephesians 1:3, 2 Corinthians 8:9). We all have been redeemed (Hebrews 9:12). He has filled our heart with peace and joy (John 14:27, John 15:11).
Jesus has done it all (salvation, prosperity, healing, protection, redemption, etc.). So why do we lose hope or get discouraged when things don’t go our way? Instead, we should cling to God’s word and trust what He said is done.
We become mentally and emotionally stronger when we choose to trust God and His word. Jesus says, "come to me, all of you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28. This means that Jesus is more than able to help you overcome your difficulties but can’t do it without your move. God made the move when Jesus died on the cross. Make your move: renew your mind.
Somebody might say, "what must I do to renew my mind?" It's simple, all you have to do is change your way of thinking - think in line with the word of God. For example, doctors say, "we can't help you, because there is no cure for your disease." So, instead of losing hope, you put your faith into action and say, "the bible says in 1 Peter 2:24 that by His wounds you are healed." Then you keep your faith strong until you see the manifestation.
Also, the scripture says, “since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from Him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God-truly righteous and holy." - Ephesians 4:21-24. We ought to act like the children of light.
Someone might say, what must I do to act like a child of light? For example, you find out that someone is spreading slanderous gossip about you...Instead of seeking revenge, you choose to forgive the person, and you pray and ask the LORD to bless her/him. To forgive is an act of obedience. When we obey God, we draw closer to Him. And when we draw near to Him, miracles take place. This includes, healing, financial breakthrough, peace, joy, etc.
Jesus changed my life when I believed in Him and gave Him control of my life. This is based on my own experience...It all began in 2005. At this time, I got sick and had been sick for nearly 8 years, but my condition kept on getting worse. I was at my lowest point when I made a decision that changed my life. I decided to draw closer to God by following his ways.
Then I started to read the bible and practice what it says. This doesn't mean that I am doing everything right all the time, but whenever I make the wrong decisions, I do my best to get back on track and ask the Lord to forgive me. I had a breakthrough when I came across Romans 10:9...The scripture says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." I chose to believe that Jesus is my LORD and that God raised him from the dead.
My life was transformed ever since I made the decision to follow Jesus. A few years later, the LORD began to help me...He has been my healer ever since I got baptised. It is just as the scripture says, "But if you remain in me and my words in you, you may ask for anything you want; and it will be granted!” - John 15:7.
The bible also says, "I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!." - John 15:9-11.
True love is being willing to resist the devil and his ways in order to be obedient to God. This is the kind of love that pleases God.
Jesus won the victory for you. Give God control of your life, and He will lift you up. As it is written in the scripture, ‘So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, at the right he will lift you up in honour.' - 1 Peter 5:6.
True humility is being willing to submit to God and his ways. It is through total submission that you will stand strong in times of trial. For God is working in you, giving you the strength to overcome your situation.
